How to Clean USB C Port: Easy Guide for Cleaning Charger Port

Inspect the USB C port

The first step is to inspect the port. A lot of Samsung galaxy phone users face the issue of discharging when the USB C port is not clean. Look out for such signs to diagnose the problem before it escalates. You can also use a flashlight or torch to check the port for dust and gunk. It is vital to inspect the USB C port to decide the tool that you can use to clean it.

Select the tool

Once you have inspected the area that needs cleaning, select the tool you want to use. Blow some air into the surroundings; this will aid in getting rid of condensation or congestion in the nozzle. Now start with a short burst of compressed air in your phone's USB C port.

Short bursts of air shouldn't be longer than two seconds. Place the compressed air can at an angle so that the dust coming out of the C port has space to come out and fall. If you fear the accumulation of lint in the port, then this method is ideal for you. The bursts of the compressed air remove all the lint from the USB C port. Generally, five to six short bursts of air does the work and gets rid of dirt, lint, the gunk inside the port.

Quick Tip: Some people also recommend a pipe cleaner for cleaning the port. Bend the cleaner into two so that the sharp end of it doesn't damage the insides of the USB C port.

Check the port
